Competitive
Our Competitive teams play in 12U–18U divisions, and are for athletes with a firm grasp on fundamentals and team play.
Season: November–August
Practices: Twice a week
Tournaments: 6 local AAU/UBVA tourneys
Coaching: Each team will have a head coach.
Gear: 2 jerseys, 2 tees, 1 slunk, hoodie, backpack
Membership: Current AAU Membership
Fee: $1750
Elite
Our Elite travel teams play in 13U–18U divisions, and are filled with experienced and skilled athletes.
Season: December–August
Practice: Twice a week
Tournaments: 6 AAU/UBVA tourneys, Fall Fury (Logan), Feel the Rush (AZ)
Coaching: Each team will have a head coach.
Travel: Elite athletes are required to stay in the provided team rooms. Parents are responsible for their athlete’s transportation to Arizona (Mesa, AZ) for the Feel the Rush Invitational.
Gear: 2 jerseys, 2 tees, hoodie, 2 slunks, backpack
Membership: Current AAU Membership
Fee: $2199 (plus travel)
14’s Elect
Our 14’s Elect teams are filled with our top athletes and highest level coaches.
Practice: 3 days a week
Tournaments: (tentative)
Coaching: Each team has a Head Coach and an Assistant Coach

Travel: GSL will reserve hotels for travel trips. Elect athletes are required to stay in the provided team rooms. For So Cal Cup we provide team transportation and athletes are required to travel in the van (on the way to CA). Parents and players are responsible for their own flights to AAU Nationals in Florida and the tourney in Indianapolis or any other potential out of state tourneys.

Our Staff
Alaina Parker
Club Director
I Graduated from Kirtland Central HS, in Kirtland, NM, in 1990. I attended New Mexico Highlands University from 1990-1994 and received a BA in Political Science & History, with a minor in Biology and Secondary Education. After college, I taught Science and US History and was the Head Girls Track Coach and Assistant Volleyball Coach at Kirtland Central HS from 1995-2001.
Our family moved to St. George in the summer of 2001 and I was hired as a History Teacher and the Head Volleyball Coach at Snow Canyon HS. I coached at SCHS from 2001-2015.
In that time, SCHS won 6 State Championships (2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2014) and 9 Region Championships. We had a record of 359 wins, 89 losses.

Josh James
Coach
Josh James is a St. George local. He went to Desert Hills High school and graduated in 2018. Taught and trained by coach Jill Swaney growing up the drive to play and coach volleyball came from her. Now currently attending Utah Tech University studying Business Administration and Finance. Excited for the future of boys volleyball in Utah and excited to be apart of it.
